Newtowncashel Defibrillator Group will hold a meeting on Tues 26th June in the GAA Clubhouse at 8pm. We are especially appealing to the people in the Derryhaun and Elfeet areas to attend as we are anxious to place the remaining two defibrillators. Training will be provided for the people in these areas.

Congratulations to Tony Bermingham who came fourth in the National Art and modelling competition recently in Athlone, and to Zara Mulvihill and Áine Bannon who won medals at the County Community Games Track and Field events recently in Ballymahon. Well done to all the local children who competed, and to those who mentored them.

Well done to our Schools football team on reaching the final of the Division 4B Championship. The Panel was Niamh Skelly, Sarah Farrell, Lauren Casey, Aine Bannon, Seoighe Mulvihill, Niall Casey, Loughlann Healy, Jamie Birmingham, Ciara Healy, Brian Kelly, Molly Fox, Eoin Mulvihill, Maeve Dervin, Lisa Dowd and Gerard Brennan. National Carers’ Week – Caring from our Family Carers’ own health. The Association hosts a Carers’ Health Fair in the Longford Arms Hotel on Tuesday June 19th, from 10.00am to 2.00pm. Health checks provided will include: blood pressure, lung capacity, cholesterol and hearing to name but a few. The event and the checks are free of charge.
