Well the excitement is really building now in the run-
The overnight bus will leave from "The Hill" at 2.00pm on Friday. Arricing at Bewley’s Hotel at 4.00pm. Going to “The Goblet” Pub, Malahide Road, Artane, for refreshments for 5.00pm. The pitch is just a few minutes’ walk from “The Goblet”. The bus will leave Dublin at 1.00pm on Saturday.
The bus returning on Friday night will leave "The Hill" at 3.00pm, arriving at “The Goblet” at 5.00pm. The bus will return to the team hotel for a few hours after the match, before travelling home.
Bus fare must be paid when boarding the bus. Everybody, whether travelling by bus or car, is asked to be at the pitch by 6.30pm and don’t forget your flag!!!

In view of the numbers travelling to the Final, all are reminded to take the necessary measures to secure property and premises. Those remaining are asked to be vigilant for suspicious or untoward activity.

Newtown Cashel Drama begins the season with the Annual General Meeting to be held Thursday 25th October at 8:30pm in “"The Hill"”, Newtowncashel, and we expect to offer another entertaining production for amateur drama fans. New members are always welcome, and if anyone wishes to act, please speak up soon as parts are allocated quickly among our keen group, backstage help is also gratefully received. SET DANCING
Set Dancing classes continues in the Lifebelt Bar, Ballyleague, on Tuesday evenings at 8.00 p.m. Why not come along to the classes for a great evening’s fun.
CASHEL GAA LOTTO
Cashel GAA’s Lotto still stands at €10,000. There are weekly, monthly and yearly options to play your numbers. You’ve got to be in it to win it. Don’t forget to play your numbers every week. Last week’s winning numbers were 1, 3, 6 and 22 and there was no jackpot winner. €30 went to Bob Carberry, and €20 each went to Mary Sweeney, Mike Clyne and Emily Fallon c/ Fallon’s Pub.
NEWTOWNCASHEL COMMUNITY GAMES
The AGM of Newtowncashel community games took place on the 16th of October. The high levels of participation for the past year, and the many medals won at both local and county levels were discussed. Changes to the programme at national level also filter to local level thereby requiring a certain amount of reorganisation of events. Provisional plans for the coming year were proposed. Officers elected are as follows: President – Mattie Reid, Chairperson – Declan Fox, Secretary -
Our registration night is to be held at the GAA Clubhouse on Monday 22nd October from 7pm to 7.30 for the following – Draughts Under 10, 12, 14, Table Tennis Under 13 and Badminton Under 15. A fee of €2.00 per child is applicable to cover administration costs. All boys and girls are welcome.
As there are a vast amount of games this year we are asking for assistance from parents. Forms have to be with County within the next two weeks. We look forward to another year of high participation and enjoyment.
The Committee would also like to request copies of photos from Community Games events that anyone might have from the last 40 years for the 40th anniversary book that is being compiled. Photos may be given to any Committee member.

"The Hill" Association for Persons with Intellectual Disability – Newtowncashel Branch AGM was held recently. The outgoing Chairperson welcomed everyone and gave a comprehensive report on the activities of the branch throughout the past year. He thanked all members for their help and support. Thank you to all who bought and sold tickets for our fundraising activities. The Secretary and Treasurer also gave their reports. The following officers were elected for the coming year.

REGIONAL PIONEER MEETING
A Regional Pioneer Meeting will be held in Tealach Íosa (The McGoey Hall), St Mel’s Road/Chapel Street, Longford, on Thursday October 25th, at 8.30pm to finalise arrangements for the Annual Dinner Dance and the Annual Mass for Deceased Pioneers.

DO THIS IN MEMORY
The Do This In Memory preparation programme for First Confession and First Holy Communion gets into full swing on Sunday the 28th of October at 10.30 am Mass. The children and their parents will participate in the mass that morning.
TEENAGE MASS
Four members of parish personnel attended a pastoral “think in” on September 6th. In response to feedback from that meeting the Parish Pastoral Council has proposed that a Mass facilitating teenage involvement and participation be arranged. Towards that end a meeting will be held in the Church after mass on Friday November 2nd. Second level students and all who are supportive of this initiative are invited to attend.
STATION MASSES
The Autumn Station Masses will be celebrated from during the month of October. Householders who are to host the Station Masses, may arrange dates when convenient if they have not already done so. The upcoming Stations are as follows:

ROSARY RECITATION
The Rosary will not be recited in the Church on Friday October 26th.
