St. Mary's N.S. Clothing Collection: Friday 5th May. Donations of clean, dry textiles and footwear in any condition, can be left at the school (Staff Car Park) or at the Parish Hall before 9:30 a.m.Thank you for your support in the past. St. Mary's N.S. will celebrate the last 50 years and the opening of the new extension with a reunion weekend and Fundraiser on the 11th, 12th, 13th August 2017. The main event,will be a Race Day,at the Kilbeggan evening race meeting on Saturday the 12th of August.Please keep this date in your diary.

PARISH MISSION
Cashel Parish Mission commenced last Monday the 24th ,running to Friday the 28th of April.last John Pridmore,ex-
He has been interviewed on RTE,BBC ,ITV, TV3, UTV , American TV,Australian TV ,and numerous daily papers and radio shows. John has worked with people such as St.Teresa of Calcutta and was a friend of St.John Paul II.
This Mission was a resounding success,and brought an added vitality and energy to our Parish.
We sincerely thank all the many people involved.

Congratulations to Newtowncashel U10 girls on winning county indoor soccer final today. Team on duty was Lily Murray, Blaithin Mulvhill, Lara Flood, Keira Hopkins, Ruth Murtagh, Ellen O'Boyle, Bonnie Clarke, Leona Farrell, Ava Morrissey and Sadie Boardman. Thanks to team managers Christy Hopkins and Peter Murray. Hard Luck to Kenagh girls who put up a great fight and gave us a very entertaining game.
Newtowncashel community games track events will take place on the weekend of the 6th/7th of May. it will be ran off either the Saturday or the Sunday of that weekend.
GAELIC FOR MOTHERS AND OTHERS
Janet Kenny & Sile Mulvihill are launching ‘Cashel Gaelic for Mothers and Others’ on Tuesday 9th of May from 8.30 pm in the clubhouse and are extending a general invitation to all mothers and any ladies interested to join us. Everyone is welcome, irrespective of age; level of fitness, including the complete novice in this fun based social initiative. This is part of the National programme promoted by the Ladies Gaelic Football for Mother & Others. It is also open to anyone who has formerly played Ladies football but may not have done so in some time. It offers the opportunity to get involved in a novel sporting activity in a fun type of way. TOURISM WITH BUSINESS CERTIFICATE
Looking for a career focused course? Then enrol on Longford College of Further Education’s 1 year Tourism with Business programme starting September 2016. Ireland is going through a tourism regeneration with employment potential from Center Parcs and from initiatives such as The Wild Atlantic Way, The Greenway Cycle Project and Ireland’s Ancient East project. The course offers practical business skills for the workplace as well as accreditation from Quality Qualifications Ireland and awards up to 400 CAO points for progression to third level institutions.
