The Staff and Pupils of St.Mary's National School present their Bi-ennial Christmas Concert in The Hill,this Wednesday the 17th and Thursday the 18th of December.The concert consists of three performances presented by the Junior,Middle and Senior pupils.Doors open at 6.30 p.m. Curtain at 7.00 p.m. sharp.

The Cashel GAA Club AGM ,deferred as a mark of respect to the late Kieran Eustace,will be held in the Clubhouse on this Friday,the 19th of December,  at 8pm and not as stated in the Parish  Newsletter.All members are requested to attend,and new members are welcome.

Newtowncashel Drama group are hard at work preparing this seasons production. There will be a general meeting for all members in The Hill on Monday the 22nd at 9pm. Please can everyone attend. New members welcome as always.

A Boil Water Notice was issued by  Irish Water and Longford County Council on Wednesday the 3rd of September. Most of the Southern half of the Parish of Cashel is affected. Specific details, advice and instructions are given with the notice.


Set Dancing classes will be held in Sorohan's Lifebelt Bar,Ballyleague,
each Tuesday at 8.00 p.m. commencing the 16th of September.
Beginners and experienced dancers catered for.This is an opportunity to get fit while having fun.

The Dog Warden will be in the area in the coming weeks inspecting dog licences.  All dog owners are asked to ensure that they have the necessary paperwork in order!


The Club invites people to take out membership and to support the Club Lotto.  Club members will visit the houses of the parish in coming weeks to provide details enabling people to do this.
