CONGRATULATIONS
Huge congratulations to local girls ,Ciara  Healy, Sarah Farrell and Aine Bannon,who were involved in the All Ireland U-16 Final on Wednesday evening last,in Augher ,County Tyrone.They had a great win over Derry,final score was 9-5 t0 3-10 and it was a rewarding way to end a great year for this group of U-16 girls.Well done to all girls and management of Dara,Mick and Sinéad.Well done again to all.

Death
The death occurred of Philip Ginty,Carrowmore ,on Wednesday, the 20th July 2016 after a long illness. Philip was a true gentleman,with a great sense of humour and he was a gifted mechanic who many people sought to fix their vehicles,down through the years.His passing will leave a great void in the lives of all those who knew him.To his wife Olive, son Philip, daughter Caroline, granddaughter Clara, daughter-in-law Mary, brothers Tom, Seamus, Gerry and Joe and sisters Angela, Eileen and Marian, his aunt Marie, nephews, nieces, neighbours, and friends we extend our deepest sympathy. May his Soul Rest in Peace.

CEMETERY SUNDAYS
Following a recent meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council,it was decided to have Cemetery Sunday Masses, for both Cashel and Saint's Island,at 12.00 noon this year.
Dates for Cemetery Sundays are as follows,;Saint's Island Cemetery-Sunday the 21st  of August. Cashel Cemetery,Sunday the 28th of August,.Both Masses will replace the 10.30 a.m. Masses in the Church.

COURSES
Lanesboro Community College is providing two courses-Outdoor Recreation and Fitness plus Health beginning in September.Awards are accredited by QQI National Framework of Qualifications(formally FETAC). Enrolment is now open by contacting 043 33 21139

DEATH
The death occurred recently ,of Annie Mai Hanly,Leab.Annie Mai was a quiet unassuming lady,who always  had a kind word and a smile for all those that she met.To all her relatives and friends,we extend our deepest sympathies ,in their time of loss.May her Soul,Rest in Peace.

CENTRE PARKS
Well done to all involved in bringing the Centre Parks Holiday  Village to ,Ballymahon and the South Longford area.This is great news,and indeed a vote of confidence for our beautiful part of the County.

However due to a clash with Cashel Gun Club's annual County Shoot,the Mass for  Saints Island Cemetery, is changed to 11.00 a.m., Please note this change of time. The Mass in Cashel Cemetery remains at 12.00 noon.

WALKING GROUP
The Walking Group continues on Saturday mornings leaving The Hill at 10.00 a.m. All are welcome.

LONGFORD VTOS
The Longford VTOS programme is now recruiting. It offers full time business and computer training free of charge.
To qualify you must be over 21 and in receipt of a social welfare payment.

MUSIC CLASSES
