NEWTOWNCASHEL DRAMA
Newtowncashel Drama Group are delighted to announce that this seasons production is the hilarious comedy "Too Close to home" by Jimmy Keary. The three act play will staged on the nights of the 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th of March, in The Hill Newtowncashel. We hope you can join us for another season in the great tradition of amateur drama.
TIDY TOWNS MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Tidy Towns takes place this Wednesday night the 4th of February at 8:00 pm.
New members are welcome.

The county final of the art competition is on Saturday the 28th of February at 10:00 am in St Emer’s National school Longford.

Thanks to all the judges that took time out to decide on the winners and best of luck to all competitors in the county finals.
Training for table quiz, basketball, futsal and table tennis is taking place at the moment.

GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
We extend congratulations to Paddy and Monica Healy,who celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary last week.We wish them many more years of happiness together.
BISHOP'S VISIT
Bishop Duffy will celebrate Mass in Newtowncashel an Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th of February,at the invitation of the Parish Council.The Senior Choir will sing on Saturday evening and the Junior Choir will sing on the Sunday morning.

CHRISTMAS DAY RUN
With your support and commitment, a cheque for €7005.70 was officially handed over to the Longford Branch of Multiple Sclerosis representing a total to date handed in for the MS Annual Christmas Day Run from Newtowncashel to Lanesboro 2014.The Longford Branch of MS advised us that it is their main fundraiser for the year .They acknowledge with huge appreciation, the efforts of all the participants ,and also to Peter Hanley Motors for sponsoring the T-
