This week Newtowncashel Drama Group will stage "Too Close To Home" by Jimmy Keary. This three act play will open on the night of Thursday the 5th and continue through the nights of the 6th, 7th and 8th March, in The Hill, Newtowncashel. Set in the present day our talented local cast will introduce a host of colourful characters. This riotous comedy offers an insight into the life of James Ryan an aspiring playwright. Ryan is attempting to write his first three act play despite the disapproval of his wife Trish and disdain of their family. Monster Auction.
Newtowncashel Community games are holding a Monster Auction at 1pm on Sunday 19th of April in the Hall in Newtowncashel. We will be using the funds raised to purchase much needed sports equipment in order for the children of the parish to be able to participate in Events and Activities. Your support will be greatly appreciated and we hope you can help by donating something for sale on the day or purchasing a bargain.
We are looking for quality items such as Firewood, DIY and garden tools, Toys, Books, DVD’s, Paintings, Household Goods, Vouchers etc. to be auctioned on the day. All items considered.
We are also looking for Cakes, buns, jams, tarts etc. that can be sold separately.

Fundraising for a replacement of a defibrillator for the St Brigids GAA club house Killashee Co. Longford.
