Series of Group Webinars & Networking on Good Governance being rolled out in Longford this Autumn
Longford Volunteer Centre are pleased to be working locally in partnership along with the Carmichael Centre and Volunteer Ireland to deliver a FREE series of short group webinars for community, voluntary and charitable organisations.
These group webinars are an effort to ensure that community organisations in rural settings are given the opportunity to avail of the renowned experience of the Carmichael Centre in promoting best practice in governance for the community sector. They will also provide an opportunity for invaluable networking amongst peers and organisations working in the same geographical area. All group sessions will involve networking and refreshments.
Volunteer Ireland, the network of Volunteer Centres, recognise that working for the community is hard work, and the growing number of requirements on community groups to conform to certain governance practice is increasingly forcing volunteers out of the sector.
All sessions will include a networking session amongst peers and light refreshments will be included. We will all be working off one central screen and so your own technology is not required. The Target Audience in all cases is Trustees/managers of registered charities, board members/managers of community and voluntary organisations that intend to register as charities.
