BOOK LAUNCH
There will be a Book Launch Evening in Clarke's Bar in Lanesborough on Saturday 7th November at 9pm. This is to launch the newly-published book 'Ubiquitous Q', written by Newtowncashel resident Gill Casey. It features the life of Quetzal Quinn, known to all simply as Q, and is described as a heart-warming, life-affirming and often humorous story. Everyone is welcome to come along.

CASHEL ANGLING
The Cashel Angling Club hold their Annual Pike Fishing Competition this Sunday the 8th of November,starting from Barley Harbour at 11.00 a.m. Entry fee is €100.00 per boat and the competition is on a catch and release basis. Newtowncashel  ICA are holding their monthly meeting in The Hill on Tuesday the 3rd of November at 8 pm.New members welcome as always. A reminder that if you have squares made ,please do bring them along to the meeting.

TIDY TOWNS
There will be a Tidy Towns meeting in The Hill on Wednesday, November the 4th at 8.00 pm.

THE LOCAL
There will be music this Sunday evening from 7.00 p.m. with Ita Tighe following the fishing competition. Cards night continues this Thursday night the 5th of November from 9.00 p.m.

PIONEERS
The annual Longford regional Pioneer Dinner Dance will take place,in The Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule,on Friday night the 13th of November..Dinner will be served at 9.00 p.m. Music is by T.R. Dallas...All are welcome.

LONGFORD VTOS
