The death occurred of Cashel's oldest citizen, Annie (Nan) Dowd,Clougher, in her 100th year, on Friday the 1st of February last.
Nan was a true lady who always had a smile and a kind word for all those that she met.
Her passing will leave a great void in the live of all those that loved and knew her.

CORRECTION
In the election literature that was handed out by one of the Candidates for the forthcoming election, it was stated that Newtowncashel Tidy Towns got €87,600.00 from the Town and Village Renewal Scheme for a fountain with landscaping and seating.
The correct amount the Tidy Towns received was €28,256.00
SYMPATHY

FREE TRANSPORT
The Irish Cancer Society operates a free transport service for patients attending hospital for chemotherapy treatment. Volunteer Drivers pick the patient up at the door of their home, drop them at the hospital door, then when finished treatment, will pick them up and drop them home. Volunteer expenses are paid.
