CLOTHES COLLECTION
St.Mary's National School Clothing Recycling takes place this Friday the 7th of June. Bags of unwanted , clothes footwear,etc. (dry and clean) can be left in the staff car park or P.E. Shed before 9.30 a.m. This is a valuable fundraiser and we appreciate your continued support.

PRESENTATION
There will be a presentation of a cheque to the Friends of Mullingar Hospital in aid of the MRI Scanner , this Sunday evening the 9th of June at 7 pm in The Pier, Lisnacusha. This is money raised by the recent 4 x 4 Fundraiser. Free Bar-B-Q on the evening. Music by Eamonn O Neill.
There will also be hereafter, music from 7-9 pm on Sunday evenings throughout the Summer, with a special emphasis on Family specials. All are welcome.

TIDY TOWNS
Newtowncashel Tidy Towns hold their Churchgate Collection  on Saturday evening 15th June and the second one on Sunday16th June .

LADY WELL
The Lady Well Pattern Day takes place on 8th of September at 11 a.

Local Election Candidate in the recent Election, John Kenny, wishes to thank everyone for their support and good wishes.

COMMUNITY GAMES
Well done to all our competitors at the County Finals last Sunday in Ballymahon. Special congratulations to Grace Cullen on her bronze medal in the 800mm.

Community Awareness of Drugs”.

FIBRE BROADBAND LIVE IN NEWTOWNCASHEL
Fibre Technology has been laid along these routes at the end of 2018 and is now live to 200 homes/businesses marked on the map. For approximately 90-95% of these premises fibre will be delivered directly into the home enabling speeds of up to 1000Mb/s (1Gb/s), with 5-10% of premises served with superfast broadband of up to 100Mb/s.

FREE TRANSPORT
The Irish Cancer Society operates a free transport service for patients attending hospital for chemotherapy treatment. Volunteer Drivers pick the patient up at the door of their home, drop them at the hospital door, then when finished treatment, will pick them up and drop them home. Volunteer expenses are paid. Patients wishing to avail of this free service should contact their healthcare professional, visit the Society’s website at irishcancer.ie or contact the Irish Cancer Society for more information on 01 2310 522.

MACRA
Macra are looking for young people to join a new Macra club. Macra is a non profit organisation for young people 17-35,it has 6 key activities such as Agriculture,Sports,Performing Arts,Travel,Public Speaking and Community Involvoment. You dont need to be a farmer to join.
