NEWTOWNCASHEL DRAMA GROUP PRESENTS 'MAMMY'S BOY'
Newtowncashel Drama Group staged ' Mammy's Boy,'by local playwright Jimmy Keary, in The Hill,  last  Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd of March..  This was  a hilarious comedy in 3 acts and the directing, acting, set design etc.  was absolutely brilliant by all concerned.,.It was  a great night's entertainment for all the family and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Well done Cashel Drama Group on yet another fantastic production

VEGETABLE GARDEN
The Tidy Towns Committee in conjunction with St.Mary's National School started a vegetable garden last year at the School,which was a great success. They are looking for three parents to volunteer to teach the children how to plant it and maintain it..Please contact Mick Casey at 086 8289811.

There is a community employment scheme vacancy available in the prize winning village of Newtowncashel.

MIDLAND MOTOR CLUB

DEATH
The death occurred of  John Farrell,Derryhaun ,Kenagh on Sunday the 24th of February last.John was a quiet unassuming gentleman and his passing will leave a great void in the lives of all those who knew and loved him.To his sisters Annette and Mary, cousins, relatives, friends, and neighbours,we extend our deepest sympathies.. May his Soul Rest in peace.

ST. MARY'S N.S. CLOTHING RECYCLING: Friday 15th March
2019. Bags of unwanted clothes, footwear etc (dry and clean) can be
left in staff car park or P.E. shed before 9:30 a.m. This is a valuable

LEINSTER CHAMPIONS
Many congratulations to Mercy Secondary School on winning the Lidl PPS Leinster Final,by beating Navan of Meath .It is the first time in 18 years that the girls have achieved this..Many congratulations to all involved,including management,teachers and local representative on the team ,Ciara Healy.We wish them all the very best in the All Ireland Semi Final to be played on the 15th of March.

BASKETBALL SUCCESS
Well done to the School boys basketball team on their brilliant  victory over St.Cremins ,in Division 1,of the  School's League Final. last Sunday in The Mall. Final score was 25 to 20.Well done to Emmet Murtagh on his  player of the match award.Special word to Joe Mulvihill and John Morrissey for all their hard work with the team.

Fibre Technology has been laid along these routes at the end of 2018 and is now live to 200 homes/businesses marked on the map. FREE TRANSPORT
The Irish Cancer Society operates a free transport service for patients attending hospital for chemotherapy treatment. Volunteer Drivers pick the patient up at the door of their home, drop them at the hospital door, then when finished treatment, will pick them up and drop them home. Volunteer expenses are paid. Macra are looking for young people to join a new Macra club. Macra is a non profit organisation for young people 17-35,it has 6 key activities such as Agriculture,Sports,Performing Arts,Travel,Public Speaking and Community Involvoment. You dont need to be a farmer to join.
