NEW YEAR'S GREETINGS
We extend a warm welcome home to all who have come back to Cashel for the New Year, and we think of those who have been unable to make the trip. We wish all the people of Cashel, a Peaceful Prosperous, Happy and Healthy New Year.

WEDDING
Congratulations to both Mel Mc Ardle andJacqueline Breslin who were married on Saturday the 27th of December 2014.

TIDY TOWNS
Newtowncashel Tidy Towns holds it's Annual General Meeting in The Hill,on Wednesday the 14th of January,at 8.00 p.m. All are welcome.

THE CONNELLS OF INCHBOFIN
In this year's 'Fireside Tales',there is avery intresting article on the Connell family, who lived on Inchbofin Island.
For a living,they farmed the 60 acres with their own horse and mowing machine.Eel fishing was another source of Income.John Connell still lives there.
Another intresting piece,is the Donlon family of Aughaloughan.Generation after generation,they have produced talented musicians,.A lovely photograph in the book,is dancing on the road beside Donlon's house in 1910.Fireside Tales is available in Local Shops.

I.C.A.
Newtowncashel I.C.A. hold an open evening,on January the 7th,2015,at 8.00 p.m. in The Hill.The I.C.A. is the largest women's association in Ireland,with more than 10,000 members and over 500 Guilds accross the country. Newtowncashel I.C.A. are now looking for new blood.Their monthly meetings,blend both business and fun,with numerous events organised and trips undertaken.Please do come along.

DEATH
The death occured on Saturday the 27th of December 2014, of Michael Whitton,Forthill.Michael was a true young gentleman,in every sense of the word and his untimely passing will leave a large void in the lives of all those that knew and loved him.To his other Betty,father Jimmy,sister Mairead.brother James and all his grieving family and friends,we extend our deepest sympathies.May his Soul Rest in Peace.

DEATH.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late Mary Quigley nee Moughty,Athlone and Derrymacar,who passed away on Tuesday the 23rd of December 2014. May her Soul Rest in Peace.

ROSARY
Recitation of The Rosary resumes this Friday the 9th of January at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome.

SPRING STATIONS
The Spring Station Masses will be celebrated from the 2nd to the 27th of February.Householders who are to hold the Stations,may arrange dates when convenient,if they have not already done so.
