GAA
No winner of this week’s Lotto Jackpot of €4,800, numbers drawn 5, 17, 22, 26. The €30 winner of the €5 envelopes was Lorraine Reynolds, Cloone, €30 to Michael Farrell/Anthony Melia and €20 each to James Flynn and Dawn Egan. Jackpot next week is €4,900, draw takes place in Leavy’s and Team on duty is Anthony Melia, Tommy Egan and Gerard Dennigan. Your continued support for the Lotto is much appreciated.
Well done to the Intermediate Team on their fine win over Sean Connolly’s in the Championship semi-final on Saturday last in Pearse Park, this was a spirited performance by the Team so keep up the good work lads. We now look forward to the Final against Killashee.
The Minor Team “Shamrock Gaels” play Carrick Sarsfields/St Dominic’s on this Wednesday 7th in McGann Park Kenagh at 7p.m in the Minor Football Championship League, they also have a fixture on Saturday 10th against Clonguish Og in Leo Casey Park at 4p.m.

RUN FOR ROSIE
Regarding the Run for Rosie ,which was held last June,Etephen and Liz wish to say a massive thanks from Rosie, for the support of Newtowncashel and all those involved in the event. The amount raised on the day ,was a total of 4185 Euro ,for Rosie's assistance dog
They have been in contact with My Caine Companion ,the charity that trains the dogs, and they hope to have word in the next week or so ,if Rosie is to be admitted to the programme.

GROW – Community Mental Health Movement in Ireland – Understanding and Minding your Mental Health. A Community Mental Health Programme will commence on Monday 26th September and every Monday for 5 weeks from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., in The Green, Ballymahon Road, Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford. TOURISM WITH BUSINESS CERTIFICATE
Looking for a career focused course? Then enrol on Longford College of Further Education’s 1 year Tourism with Business programme starting September 2016. Ireland is going through a tourism regeneration with employment potential from Center Parcs and from initiatives such as The Wild Atlantic Way, The Greenway Cycle Project and Ireland’s Ancient East project. The course offers practical business skills for the workplace as well as accreditation from Quality Qualifications Ireland and awards up to 400 CAO points for progression to third level institutions.
