CHILDLINE BREAKFAST
The Annual Cheerios Childline Breakfast will be held in The Hill this Tuesday the 13th of October from 7.30 am to 11,30 am.Your support would be greatly appreciated.All are welcome.Also,weather permitting,a 'walking school bus' will go from The Hill to the National School after breakfast time for school.

Kenny's Country Store closed it's doors on Wednesday the 30th of September last. We would like to thank all the staff, customers and suppliers for all their support and loyalty over the past two and a half years. Without all these people, it would not have been possible. Thank you all so much for the good luck messages, cards and visits on our last few days. It was much appreciated. We hope to see everybody in the future.

DEFIBRILATTOR GROUP
Newtowncashel Defibrillator Group will hold their AGM this Wednesday the 7rh of October at 8.00 pm in The Hill.Your support on the night will be greatly appreciated,as the continuation of the group depends on local involvement.CPR training and the use of the defibrillator will start back in October and we ask everybody to familiarize themselves with the location of our public access defibrillators.

OCTOBER MUDFEST
Sean Connolly's GAA Club in Ballinalee are running a mud fest to raise funds for the club. The race is a 6km run across country and will include obstacles along the way. There is a prize for the fastest men's and women's team of €1000 each and a prize of €500 for the fastest individual male and individual female. It will take place on Saturday 31st October. Entry is €25 per person or €200 for a team of ten.
