DEATH OF PADDY FARRELL
The death occurred of Paddy Farrell, peacefully,at his home in Carrowbeg on Wednesday last the 31st of October ,in his ninety eight year. Throughout his long and busy life,Paddy's heart and soul was in the parish of Newtowncashel. From collecting milk in the creamery cans from local suppliers,to his many terms as Fianna Fáil Councillor for our local area,Paddy had his finger on the pulse of all things related to and associated with our parish of Cashel.
Paddy was a man of great faith, and his dedication to the Church was immense.
Above all,he was a wonderful husband and devoted father to his loving family.
His warm personality was infectious and he always had great story to tell.
The large turnout of sympathisers at his house, removal and funeral, together with the various Guards of Honour, bore testament to the popularity and decency of Paddy and indeed his family. His passing will leave a great void in the lives of all those who knew and loved him.
Paddy was predeceased by his loving wife Cissie (Mary). To his daughters Mary Gallagher, Breda Garvey, Edel Maher, Sr. Gabrielle O.L.A. and Catherine Clerkin, sons Gerry, Michael, Paddy, Colm and Niall.Sons-
