DEATH.
The death occurred of Frankie Lane, No.2 Derryhaun , on Thursday the 2nd   of January last.
Frankie was a true gentleman who had a kind warm smile for all those that he encountered. He was a highly intelligent, witty and energetic man whose passions in life included music and football. From a thoroughly decent and hardworking family, Frankie epitomised the true meaning of tolerance and kindness.
His passing will leave a great void in the lives of all those who knew and loved him.
To his  brothers Padraig, Robin, Michael and Peter, sisters Betty, Clare, Josephine, Patricia and Sarah-Jane, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncle, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends,       we extend our deepest sympathies.
May his Soul Rest in Peace.

WEDDING.
We extend congratulations to both Ruth Kearney and Ronan Muldoon who were married on Saturday the 21st of December last. We wish the happy couple many years of health wealth and happiness.

RETIREMENT
There will be a retirement function for Noel Egan, who served our parish of Cashel from 1996 to 2013 as our local Garda, this Friday night the 10th of January in The pier Inn, Lisnacusha at 9 pm
Please do come along as Noel was an exceptional Garda who always had the good of Cashel as his priority.

NEWTOWNCASHEL DRAMA
Newtowncashel Drama Group are delighted to announce that the following are the dates for their spring production of 'Cat among Pigeons', a comedy by Tom O Brien. Friday the 28th, Saturday the 29th of February and Sunday March the 1st. Tickets on sale soon.

FIBRE BROADBAND LIVE IN NEWTOWNCASHEL
Fibre Technology has been laid along these routes at the end of 2018 and is now live to 200 homes/businesses marked on the map. For approximately 90-95% of these premises fibre will be delivered directly into the home enabling speeds of up to 1000Mb/s (1Gb/s), with 5-10% of premises served with superfast broadband of up to 100Mb/s.

FREE TRANSPORT
The Irish Cancer Society operates a free transport service for patients attending hospital for chemotherapy treatment. Volunteer Drivers pick the patient up at the door of their home, drop them at the hospital door, then when finished treatment, will pick them up and drop them home. Volunteer expenses are paid. Patients wishing to avail of this free service should contact their healthcare professional, visit the Society’s website at irishcancer.ie or contact the Irish Cancer Society for more information on 01 2310 522.
