GUN CLUB
Cashel Gun Club held their Tom Connolly Clay Shoot,on Sunday November the 5th last.Twenty Shooters took part in the Senior and Novices Clay Pigeon Shoot.With many new and established members taking part,a great day was enjoyed by all.
A special thanks to,Dave Gambold, for cooking up our lovely Bar-B-Que at the half time break, which was enjoyed by all.
Congratulations to all the winners on the day.,
The Senior Shoot winners were 1st, Barney Kenny, Tied for 2nd and 3rd were Bernard Kenny,and Paddy Kelly.
The Novices Shoot winners were,1st Eddie Coffey,2nd Ger Skelly and 3rd,Neil Farrell.

ANGLING CLUB
Cashel Angling Club held a very successful Pike Fishing Competition at Barley Harbour ,last Sunday the 5th of November.There were 32 boats entered,with 24 Pike weighed in.The winner was Conor Hannon,with a Pike weighing, 18 lbs.The Club wish to thank all those who helped make the day such a success.

PTAA
The Longford Region of the PTAA are holding their Annual Dinner Dance in The Rustic Inn ,Abbeyshrule,on Friday night the 10th of November 2017. BADMINTON
Lanesboro/Ballyleague Badminton Club are looking for people who would love to try badminton or rekindle their love of it. We are holding open nights every Tuesday night at 9:30pm in St Mary Hall in Lanesboro for the month of November. Rackets will be provided so just come along and have a go and see what it's all about. The club are also holding their annual Table Quiz on Saturday the 18th of November in Clarke's Bar in Lanesboro, so grab a team and join us

NEWTOWNCASHEL DRAMA
The local Newtowncashel Drama Group prepare for a busy few weeks as,firstly,the ever popular Beezneez Theatre Company,come to The Hill with their production,Turning Mammy,on Saturday the 18th of November at 9 pm .This play,described as 'a comedy with some serious bits' is written by John Mc Dwyer, who wrote An Ordinary Man,which was staged in Cashel earlier in the year. Please do come along ,for what promises to be a great night's entertainment.
Then in early December,our own Group, stage ,John B Keane's ..'Moll'..

Bog Lane Theatre Ballymahon
Bog Lane Theatre Ballymahon 2017 One Act Drama Festival takes place from Friday November 17th to Sunday November 19th .
Friday and Saturday night’s performance starts at 8:15 pm sharp with Sundays performance starting at the earlier time of 7:15 pm.
A programme of top quality drama is on the cards with productions from companies across the region.
The adjudicator for this year’s One Act Festival in the Bog Lane is Chrissie Poulter. Admission is €12  Concessions €10. For booking telephone Breege at 09064 32230

DEFIBRILLATOR GROUP
Cashel Defibrillator Group,will commence training in the coming weeks.We invite you all to avail of the opportunity to train in CPR and the use of the Defibrillator. Please contact Geraldine at 086 8566608,if you are interested in training.

ART CLASSES
Beginner art classes with tutor Frances Kelleher commencing Tuesday morning 17th October 10.30 to 12.30. Venue Ballymahon tba. Please bring along sketch pad, notebook, pencils and soft eraser.
Improver classes, Ballymahon Art Club, continue each Tues evening 7 - 9 at Betty Fox's Main St. All welcome for each session.

Newtowncashel Tae Kwon Do Club every Friday night in The Hill. Qualified Master Instructor.- 8th Dan Black Belt.  Classes,Children 7-8 pm / Adults 8/9 pm.

MACRA
Macra are looking for young people to join a new Macra club. Macra is a non profit organisation for young people 17-35,it has 6 key activities such as Agriculture,Sports,Performing Arts,Travel,Public Speaking and Community Involvoment. You dont need to be a farmer to join.
