NATURE WALK
The Tidy Towns Annual Nature Walk took place on the May Day Bank Holiday last. It was enjoyed by the adults and children alike,in glorious sunshine. The Tidy Towns Committee thank all those who took part.

The Club are running a fundraising Table Quiz in “The Peer Inn” on Friday 19th May at 10p.m. Table of 4 €40, junior table €20, there will also be a raffle on the night. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
On the playing field the Intermediate Team secured a valuable draw in the Div 2 league against Carrickedmond on Wednesday last in Pairc Chiaran, this was a very entertaining game with some good football played so keep up the good work lads. There is a fixture in the Drake Cup on Friday next 12th May when they take on Young Grattans in Pairc Chiaran at 7.45p.m.

The Newtowncashel Branch of Fine Gael,held their A.G.M.which was well attended, on Thursday night the 27th of April last. Chairperson,Jimmy Costello welcomed everyone to the meeting.Deputy Peter Burke Fine Gael,as well as local Fine Gael councillors,were in attendance. DEATH
It was with regret and deep sadness that we learned of the death of Michael 'Mickey' Fallon,Greenhall,who passed away,last Friday the 5th of May last. Mickey was a true gentleman and indeed family man,who had many passions in life,in particular the G.A.A. and Fianna Fail .He loved the cut and thrust of debate,and one was always left feeling the better,having chatted to him.His passing will leave a great void in the lives of all those that loved and knew him.To his wife Gaye, daughter Margarita, son Johnny, son-
