NEWTOWNCASHEL DRAMA
There will be a meeting of Newtowncashel Drama on Monday night the 16th of November at 9.00 p.m. in The Hill.All members are requestedc to attend,New members are welcome as always.

FAS WORKER
A vacancy for a FAS worker exists in Newtowncashel.

CHRISTMAS DAY RUN
It's that time of year again when preparations are beginning for the Annual Christmas Day Run from Newtowncashel to Lanesborough in aid of the Longford branch of MS Ireland. This is the 25th year of the event and over the course of that time approximately €180,000 has been raised for Longford MS. Last year 175 people took part and we're again asking for your continued support this year and hopefully we'll be able to further increase the number of participants and sponsorship for what is a very worthy cause. Sponsorship cards will be available in the coming weeks and for further details and please contact Michael Flood (Tel: 086-0880855).

PIONEERS
The annual Longford regional Pioneer Dinner Dance will take place,in The Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule,on Friday night the 13th of November..Dinner will be served at 9.00 p.m. Music is by T.R. Dallas...All are welcome.

Auditions for Trad Musicians
Joe Callaghan C.C.E., Edgeworthstown, intend to hold auditions for musicians in order to form Céilí Bands to compete at the county Fleadh Cheoil in May 2016.  Depending on entries, Céilí Bands may be formed for musicians in three age categories, Under 12 years, 12 to 15 years and 15 to 18 years.  You do not need to be a member of Comhaltas to play in a Céilí Band.  Successful band members will be expected to attend all practices.  To register, please TEXT the musician’s name, their age at 01/01/15 and what instrument(s) they play to (086) 8211388 by Friday, 20th November.

ROSARY
The Rosary is recited each Friday evening at 7.30 p.m. in the Church

LONGFORD VTOS
The Longford VTOS programme is now recruiting.  It offers full time business and computer training free of charge.  To qualify you must be over 21 and in receipt of a social welfare payment.  If you are interested contact Maeve Madden, VTOS Co-ordinator at  087 2050589.
