WEDDING
We extend congratulations to both Colin Dolan, Drumnee and Veronica Mulvihill, Teffia Park, who were married on December the 20th last. We wish the happy couple many years of Health, Wealth and Happiness together.

ROBBERY
A very disturbing turn of events happened in Cashel at the weekend, with a robbery from a house in Curroole.a sinister and unwelcome scenario in the parish of Newtowncashel. We urge all parishioners to be extra vigilant both at their home and for unusual activity.If anyone has any information regarding the situation, however small, please contact local Gardai.

DEATH
We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Paddy Casey, Mullingar and late of Cornadough, Newtowncashel, who died last the of January. May his Soul Rest in Peace.

RETIREMENT
There was a retirement function for Noel Egan, who served our parish of Cashel from 1996 to 2013 as our local Garda, last Friday night the 10th of January in The Pier Inn, Lisnacusha at 9 pm
Noel was an exceptional Garda who always had the good of Cashel as his priority and we wish him and his family well in the future.

NEWTOWNCASHEL DRAMA
Newtowncashel Drama Group are delighted to announce that the following are the dates for their spring production of 'Cat among Pigeons', a comedy by Tom O Brien. Friday the 28th, Saturday the 29th of February and Sunday March the 1st. Tickets on sale soon.

FIBRE BROADBAND LIVE IN NEWTOWNCASHEL
Fibre Technology has been laid along these routes at the end of 2018 and is now live to 200 homes/businesses marked on the map. For approximately 90-95% of these premises fibre will be delivered directly into the home enabling speeds of up to 1000Mb/s (1Gb/s), with 5-10% of premises served with superfast broadband of up to 100Mb/s.

FREE TRANSPORT
The Irish Cancer Society operates a free transport service for patients attending hospital for chemotherapy treatment. Volunteer Drivers pick the patient up at the door of their home, drop them at the hospital door, then when finished treatment, will pick them up and drop them home. Volunteer expenses are paid. Patients wishing to avail of this free service should contact their healthcare professional, visit the Society’s website at irishcancer.ie or contact the Irish Cancer Society for more information on 01 2310 522.
