END OF YEAR CONCERT
St Mary's National School Band(senior pupils) will perform at the school on Wednesday the 17th of June, at 12.45 p.m. There will also be performances from Junior Pupils.The concert will be staged outdoors.Admission is free and all members of the Community are welcome to what promises to be a very entertaining afternoon.
HARVEST FESTIVAL
There will be a Harvest Festival meeting in The Local on Friday the 26th of June.New members welcome.
IRISH TV
Irish TV wished to feature a village in Co. Longford that had something pleasant and interesting for visitors and Newtowncashel was chosen. They spent last Wednesday filming all the features including the Water Feature, the Butterfly Garden, the Church grounds, the Sculptures, and the Quarry park.
It will be shown in two weeks time on SKY Channel 191

Cashel G.A.A. 125 Celebrations take place on the August Bank Holiday weekend.Events will be held over the three days,culminating in the honouring of the 1964 Junior Champions at the Club Barbeque in the Quarry Park. The weekend will also feature music and events illustrating the significant role played by the Club in the Social Wellbeing of the Community during the past 125 years.Plans include a commemorative booklet to mark the occassion.
