PARENT'S ASSOCIATION FANCY DRESS
The local Parent's Association of St.Mary's National School ,hold their annual Fundraiser, this Saturday night the 24th of October, in The Local, Newtowncashel. This function will be a Fancy Dress themed night, which is optional ,,and all parents are asked to make a special effort to attend for what promises to be a great night's fun. Everybody is welcome to dress up ,and also the annual draw will take place with lots of wonderful prizes on offer.

The Annual General Meeting of St.Christopher's Longford(Newtowncashel Branch) will be held in The Hill, this Wednesday night the 21st of October at 8.00 p.m. All members please attend and new members are welcome.
PIONEERS
The annual Longford regional Pioneer Dinner Dance will take place,in The Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule,on Friday night the 13th of November..Dinner will be served at 9.00 p.m. Music is by T.R. Dallas...All are welcome.
WEDDING
We extend congratulations to both Michelle Casserly and Kevin Butler,who were married last Saturday the 17th of November. We wish the happy couple many years of health,wealth and happiness together.
DRAMA
Newtowncashel Drama Group welcomes the Acorn Players,from Mohill,Co.Leitrim to perform' The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley', a hilarious comedy in 3 Acts by Jimmy Keary to the Hill for one night only on Friday the 23rd of October at 8.30 p.m. Admission is €10.00 for adults and €5.00 for primary and secondary school students. TIDY TOWNS

OCTOBER MUDFEST
Sean Connolly's GAA Club in Ballinalee are running a mud fest to raise funds for the club. The race is a 6km run across country and will include obstacles along the way. There is a prize for the fastest men's and women's team of €1000 each and a prize of €500 for the fastest individual male and individual female. It will take place on Saturday 31st October. Entry is €25 per person or €200 for a team of ten.

October is the month of the Holy Rosary...The Rosary is recited at 7.30 p.m. on Friday evenings in the Church.
STATION MASSES
This Wednesday the 21st of October in Ambrose Murtagh's for Derryhaun Mór at 8.00 p.m..
Also on Friday the 23rd of October in Margaret and Patrick Brennan's,Derrygowna at 8.00 p.m.
Please note that there will be no Mass in the Church on Friday evening.
