COMMUNITY GAMES.
Well done to all from Cashel,who represented Longford at the National Community Games Finals last weekend.We particularly congratulate the U-13 Choir,who came second overall..a fantastic result..

We wish the  Cashel Football team the very best of luck,when they play Sean Connollys,in the Intermediate Football Championship Semi-Final,this Saturday evening the 26th of August,,at 5.15 ,in Pearse Park. Please come out to support the team,in their bid to reach the County Final.

CEMETERY SUNDAY
Cashel Cemetery-27th of August.
Mass at 12.00 Noon.
No Mass in the Church at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday.
We ask that all people attending, adhere to the stewards requests at all times.

LADY WELL
Pattern Day will be celebrated on Sunday the 3rd of September at 12.00 noon.

TOURISM WITH BUSINESS CERTIFICATE
Looking for a career focused course? Then enrol on Longford College of Further Education’s 1 year Tourism with Business programme starting September 2017. Ireland is going through a tourism regeneration with employment potential from Center Parcs and from initiatives such as The Wild Atlantic Way, The Greenway Cycle Project and Ireland’s Ancient East project. The course offers practical business skills for the workplace as well as accreditation from Quality Qualifications Ireland and awards up to 400 CAO points for progression to third level institutions. This course is free to those in receipt of BTEA or who qualify for a SUSI grant* and to holders of a medical card. The registration fee and government levy is €330 for all other students. MACRA
Macra are looking for young people to join a new Macra club. Macra is a non profit organisation for young people 17-35,it has 6 key activities such as Agriculture,Sports,Performing Arts,Travel,Public Speaking and Community Involvoment. You dont need to be a farmer to join.

LONGFORD VTOS
The Longford VTOS programme is now recruiting. It offers full time business and computer training free of charge.
To qualify you must be over 21 and in receipt of a social welfare payment.
