CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
Once again it is time to be thinking ahead towards Christmas Lights for our beautiful Village.
A Halloween Scavenger Hunt will be held on Sunday 27th of October This Hunt will be done by car , around the parish and registration will take place at 4pm at The Local.
€20 Entrance Fee. This includes BBQ Vouchers for all passengers. Successful Scavengers will be entered into a draw. All monies raised will go towards Village Christmas Lights. Music afterwards by Pub Fiction. Please support.

FISHING COMPETITION
Cashel Angling Club hold their Annual Monster Pike Fishing Competition on November the 3rd 2019 at Barley Harbour. Places limited to 30 boats. €2500 in prize money. First Prize €1000 , Second Prize €500 Third Prize€400 Fourth Prize €300., Fifth Prize €200, Sixth Prize €100.

The annual churchgate collection for the PTAA will be taken up this weekend the 26th and 27th of October.Your support will be much appreciated.
COMMUNITY GAMES
An EGM of Newtowncashel Community Games will take place in The Hill this Saturday night at 7 pm to form a new committee If we are unable to form a new committee then we will not be able to affiliate to the county and then there will be no Community Games in Cashel next year. Anyone interested in helping out then please turn up on the 26th.
Our medal presentation will take place in The Hill on Saturday the 26th of October at 6 pm.
Congratulations to Joe Mulvihill who was nominated as Volunteer of the year at the County Awards in the Longford Arms last weekend. Joe's work, together with John Morrissey , brought great success to our Basketball teams during the year. A thoroughly deserved accolade
A Blitz of Glitz and Glamour:
Cashel G4M&Os hosted a ladies night in The Local Newtowncashel on Saturday October 19th last . This was an incredibly successful and enjoyable night with , going to press, over €7000 raised..Congratulations to all involved and especially Laura Dermody who brought this event to fruition.

FREE TRANSPORT
The Irish Cancer Society operates a free transport service for patients attending hospital for chemotherapy treatment. Volunteer Drivers pick the patient up at the door of their home, drop them at the hospital door, then when finished treatment, will pick them up and drop them home. Volunteer expenses are paid.
