M.S. CHRISTMAS DAY RUN
The Annual Christmas Day Run from Newtowncashel to Lanesborough in aid of the Longford branch of MS Ireland is now in it's 26th year. Over the years it has raised much needed funds for Longford MS and last year over 140 walkers and runners took part. We are again asking for your continued support this year and hopefully we'll be able to further increase the number of participants and sponsorship for what is a very worthy cause. JUNIOR CHOIR
There will be a Junior Choir Practice ,this Sunday the 27th of November,directly after 10.30 a.m. Mass. This practice,together with ones on every Sunday, in Advent,at the same time,is in preparation for Christmas Masses.

DEATH
The death occurred of John Joe Murry,formerly of Caltra,on Tuesday the 15th of November last.To hisbrothers Michael and Thomas, sister Kathleen, wife and family,and all his many relatives and friends,we extend our deepest sympathy in their time of loss .May his Soul Rest in Peace.

The Newtowncashel Committee of the P.T.A.A. would like to thank everyone who contributed to their recent Church Gate Collection. Also,a big thank you to the large number of people from our parish who attended the regional dinner dance in the Rustic Inn on Friday the 11th of November last. After a beautiful meal, we had T.R. Dallas and his band to supply the music for the dancing. A great night was had by all. A reminder that the Annual Pioneer Mass for deceased members,of the Pioneer Association,will be held in Ballycloghan Church,this Friday night the 18th of November at 7.00 p.m.

A Benefit Card Game will be held in Kenagh Community Centre, on Thursday the 15th pf December 2016. This game is for Peadar Mc Garry,from Kenagh,who was injured in an accident,3 months ago.
