SET DANCING CLASSES
Sett Dancing classes commence on Tuesday September 19th @8 pm in St. Failtheachts G.A.A clubhouse .
A great way to keep fit whilst having fun.
Everybody welcome, and all levels catered for.

I.C.A.
Newtowncashel ICA monthly meeting takes place on Tuesday the 3rd of October at 8pm in "The Hill" Newtowncashel. We had a busy first meeting back after out break with alot of upcoming events happening from food demo evenings, charity walks, craft days to nights out.Thank you to our member Nora for her expertise and tips for writing short stories.well done to all who took part in the pitch and putt competition and congrats to the winners. Remember ICA has something for everyone so why not come along and see what it is all about.Stay tuned to the notes for what's coming up.

CLOTHING RECYCLING
Clothing Recycling:will take place on  Friday 29th September.  Bags of unwanted clothes, footwear etc... (dry & clean) can be left at gable of school staff car park before 9.30 a.m. or in the shed at the back of the school (village side).  €5.00 per 10kg bag will be generated.

TAE KWON DO CLUB
Newtowncashel Tae Kwon Do Club every Friday night in The Hill. Qualified Master Instructor.- 8th Dan Black Belt.  Classes,Children 7-8 pm / Adults 8/9 pm.

BEST WISHES
We extend best wishes to Neil Farrell, Derrygowna,who launched his legal practice,last Friday the 22nd of September. Neil's practice is based in the town of Ballymahon.

COFFEE DAY
The recent Coffee Day,to fundraise for the Local Hospice,raised the amount of €1128.33. Thanks to the wonderful people of the Parish,who supported such a worthy cause so well again this year.

CHURCHGATE COLLECTION
The Irish Society for Autism,is holding it's Annual Churchgate Collection, on september the 30th and October the 1st , in our Parish.

WELL DONE
U-14 Success.
Well done to the team and management of the Shamrock Gaels U-14 ,Football team ,who won the County Final last weekend and also
to our neighbours,Rathcline,on winning the County Intermediate Football Final last weekend.

PIONEER PRESENTATION
Congratulations to all the members of the Newtowncashel PTAA, who recieved their special awards,at Mass on Saturday evening the 23rd of September last.The Fr.Cullen Medal,is awarded in recognition of a lifrtime of service and dedication to the Pioneer ideal. The Golden Pin Award marks the Golden Annjiversary of the recipients initiation into the movement. Special thanks to our Parish priest,Fr Merlyn Kenny,for his co-operation and for presenting the Pioneer Emblems.

CASHEL GAA LOTTO
Lotto draw winners not available, from last Sunday night, the 24th of September. last..
No jackpot winner.  
Next week's draw is in Leavy's. The jackpot is €3900..Team on duty are Tom Conlon and Jody Walsh.

BALLYMAHON ART CLASSES
Re-commences Tuesday 3rd Oct 7 - 9pm at Betty Foxs on Main St.

TOURISM WITH BUSINESS CERTIFICATE
Looking for a career focused course? Then enrol on Longford College of Further Education’s 1 year Tourism with Business programme starting September 2017. Ireland is going through a tourism regeneration with employment potential from Center Parcs and from initiatives such as The Wild Atlantic Way, The Greenway Cycle Project and Ireland’s Ancient East project. The course offers practical business skills for the workplace as well as accreditation from Quality Qualifications Ireland and awards up to 400 CAO points for progression to third level institutions. This course is free to those in receipt of BTEA or who qualify for a SUSI grant* and to holders of a medical card. The registration fee and government levy is €330 for all other students. MACRA
Macra are looking for young people to join a new Macra club. Macra is a non profit organisation for young people 17-35,it has 6 key activities such as Agriculture,Sports,Performing Arts,Travel,Public Speaking and Community Involvoment. You dont need to be a farmer to join.

LONGFORD VTOS
The Longford VTOS programme is now recruiting. It offers full time business and computer training free of charge.
To qualify you must be over 21 and in receipt of a social welfare payment.
