The two year closure has given the people of Cashel long enough to comprehend the absence of this vital element of village fabric.Gary and Sile have taken the initiative.It is now up to us the community of Cashel and wider,to reciprocate.
There will be live music this Saturday night the 4th of April by The Dollar Daly,and on Sunday night the 5th by Albatross.
We wholeheartedly wish Gary and Sile the very best in their new venture.

MONSTER AUCTION
Newtowncashel Community games are holding a Monster Auction at 1pm on Sunday 19th of April in the Hall in Newtowncashel. We will be using the funds raised to purchase much needed sports equipment in order for the children of the parish to be able to participate in Events and Activities. Your support will be greatly appreciated and we hope you can help by donating something for sale on the day or purchasing a bargain.
We are looking for quality items such as Firewood, DIY and garden tools, Toys, Books, DVD’s, Paintings, Household Goods, Vouchers etc. to be auctioned on the day. All items considered.
We are also looking for Cakes, buns, jams, tarts etc. that can be sold separately.

HARVEST FESTIVAL
The Harvest Festival will be held in Newtowncashel on Sunday the 23rd of August, commencing at 12.00 noon. This will be the festival's third consecutive visit to Newtowncashel, thanks to the availability and suitability of the site and the success of the event on the two previous occasions. PIONEER QUIZ SUCCESS
Well done to the Junior Pioneer quiz team from St Mary's NS, Newtowncashel who qualified for the All Ireland PTAA quiz final in Cavan on 25th April. They finished second to Killoe in the Leinster final in Mountmellick, Co.Laois by just a single point !The team consisted of Cathy Kelly, Mark Brehon, Luke Mulvihill, David Sweeney and Harry Murray. They wish to thank the Newtowncashel PTAA for sponsoring refreshments for the team.
