PATTERN DAY
Pattern Day will be celebrated at Lady Well, Derrydarragh,on this Saturday the 5th of September. Mass follows recitation of The Rosary at 6.00 p.m.This Mass will replace the Saturday evening Mass in the Church.

CLONMACNOIS PATTERN DAY
Clonmacnois Pattern Day takes place on Sunday the 13th of September at 3.00 p.m. This Pattern Day will commemorate the 1400th anniversary of the death of St Columbanus.
DEATH
The death occurred of Annie Teresa (Nan) Farrell nee Donnelly,Clonmee on Monday last the 24th of August.Nan was a true lady whose passing will leave a great void in the lives of those who knew her.She always had a kind word for everyone that she met and also had a great sense of humour.She will be sadly missed. To her son Anthony, and all her , relatives and friends,we extend our deepest sympathies. May her Soul Rest in Peace.

HARVEST FESTIVAL
The Harvest Festival and Field Day schedeuled for last Sunday the 23rd of August was cancelled due to the forecast of adverse weather. In lieu of the Festival and Field Day,a fundraising night will be held in Gav's Bar,Kenagh on Saturday the 5th of September. Barbeque and Pig on a spit .Music with waltxing and jiving competitions. Proceeds in aid of St.Christopher's.
BROADBAND COMPETITION.
Following another successful meeting last week,we continue with another meeting,this Thursday evening the 3rd of September in The Hill at 8.30 p.m. The purpose of these meetings is to put together a submission to Eircom,for their competition to supply a community or parish with broadband which is worth €250,000.00 of an investment.If you are interested in contributing in any way,please do come along.

The Irish Cancer Society’s Care to Drive service is currently seeking volunteer drivers to drive local patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments. We are looking for volunteers to pick patients up at their homes, drive them to the door of the hospital, pick them up when they are finished their treatment and bring them home again.
