CAKE SALE
Newtowncashel Community Games,hold a Cake Sale and Rafflethis weekend,in The Hill,after both Masses,Saturday evening the 9th and Sunday morning the 10th.

The annual G.A.A. Barbeque which was held in the Quarry Park last Sunday,the 3rd of August,was a great success. The initial doubts regarding weather concerns proved unfounded and a great evening was had by all.Well done to all concerned on making the event so special once again.
TEXT ALERT
A public meeting will be held in the Hill on Wednesday night the 20 Aug 14 @ 9 O'clock with the view of setting up a local text alert. This is about your safety, your families safety and the safety of your Parishes It is very important that there is a large turn out on the night.
Organisers Cllr Mark Casey, Mary Skelly, Declan Gilmore along with Members of local Garda and Longford Text alert expert Peter Masterson will be attending .

The Parish Pastoral Council will meet in The Hill,on Tuesday the 12th of August at 8.30 p.m.Fr Aidan Galvin C.M. leader of the Vincentian Order(Mission),will attend the meeting.
TABLE QUIZ
The Harvest Festival Committee hold a Table Quiz in the Peer Inn,Lisnacusha,this Friday night the 8th of August at 9.30 p.m.Tables of four is €40.00.Proceeds go towards St.Christopher'sa Services.Refreshments will be served.

These Masses will replace the 10.30 a.m. Mass in the Church.
PATTERN DAY
Pattern Day will be celebrated at Lady well,Derrydarragh,on Saturday the 6th of September.Mass follows recitation of the Rosary at p.m. This Mass will replace the Saturday evening Mass in the Church.
