NEWTOWNCASHEL DRAMA
Newtowncashel Drama Group made their debut on The All Ireland One Act Drama Circuit last Saturday night, performing "Cliffs Edge" by Paul Beard in Cootehill. A very memorable night was had thanks to the hard work of our cast & crew and the loyal support of our wonderful fans. We look forward to this coming weekend and round 2 & 3, on Friday the 14th of November at An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. Tickets available from An Grianán box office. COMMUNITY GAMES
The AGM of Newtowncashel Community Games took place last Tuesday night the 4th of November in the Gaa Club House. There was a very good attendance for this AGM which was great to see.
The following are the new 2014/2015 Committee – President: Mattie Reid, Chairperson: Liam Bermingham, Vice Chair: Gary Beattie, Secretary: Christy Hopkins, Ass Secretary: Joe Mulvihill, Treasurer: Anne Bannon, Development Officer: John Morrissey, Pro: John Kenny, Children’s officer: Emma Murray.
We would like to thank a number of people for their assistance during the past year: Cashel GAA, St Mary’s National School, staff at Kenagh multipurpose hall, Catherine Gallagher and the Hill committee, Midland Trophies and all our coaches, managers and mentors.
We would like to thank our Sponsors: Peter Hanley Motors, Declan Fox, Kenny Food Stores, Ray Flanagan, Radionics Ireland, Bord Na Mona, Anthony Melia, Mick Casey and Festo Pneumatics, Joe Mulvihill and John Morrissey for their generous contributions. We would also like to thank everyone that helped us out with our Table quiz, Cake sale, Raffle and church gate collection from donating money, spot prizes and goods, to purchasing tickets, baking cakes, buns and jams etc. and also attending any fundraising events that we held.
Finally we would like to thank all the Children of the parish that registered last year and competed at local, county, provincial and national level. The Community games competes in a wide range of activities allowing children with different talents and abilities to experience the joy of participation and success. Registration for 2014/2015 season will take place on the 16th of November in the gaa club house after mass. €2 per child which covers insurance. There are now a number of new events open to U16 age groups like Draughts, futsal, basketball, table tennis and talent competitions. If we get enough children interested in these team events we will enter them.
Newtowncashel community games would like to extend sincere sympathy to everyone that suffered bereavement during the last year in Newtowncashel.
PASTORAL COUNCIL
The Parish Pastoral Council will meet in the Hill on Tuesday the 18th of November at 8.30 p.m. In addition to the agenda,the meeting will facilitate the distribution of Collection Envelopes for 2015 All members are asked to attend.

PIONEER DINNER DANCE
The Annual Regional Pioneer Dinner Dance takes place in the Rustic Inn Abbeyshrule ,this Friday the 14th of November at 9.00 p.m. sharp.Tickets are €25.00 each and are now available from committee members.

The Newtowncashel Branch of the P.T.A.A. wish to thank all those who contributed so generously to their recent Churchgate Collection. The amount raised was €380.00 . This total goes towards promoting Temperance among our youth and also the Pioneer Magazine.
