TIDY TOWNS
A Tidy Towns work evening will be hed this Wednesday evening the 15th of May.Volunteers are asked to bring the appropiate implements and assemble at the Hill  at 7.00 p.m. First adjudication is just a few weeks away,adding an element of urgency to the effort.

TIDY TOWNS WALK
The recent Tidy Towns walk held on Bank Holiday Monday realised the total of €1528.00.Winners of the Highest Sponsorship,Primary Participants;Phone Credit Prizes-€40.00,Abaigh Smyth Curley,€20.00 Conor Skelly;€10.00 Mark Brehon.Adult and U-16 Prize Winners;Conor Flood,Ann Farrell(Clonmee),Fiona Farell,Mary Casey,Mary Casey,(Clonmee),Teresa Farrell,Seán Mulvihill,LizHanley,Brendan Bannon,Bridge Mulvihill and Matthew Kenny.The Committee wish to thank all who participated ,organised and helped out in any way to help make this event such a success.

CANAL WALK
There will be a Canal Walk in aid of The Friends of St Liuke's Cancer Care,on sunday the 2nd of June,at 2 to 4 p.m. from Brannigan Harbour to Foigha, Keenagh,with music later at Jimmy Leavey's pub.Anyone who wants a sponsorship card,please contact Martin Walsh on 087 7433850 or John Joe Whitlow at 086 1690492.All are welcome,please bring family and friends,and enjoy a relaxing afternoon's walk and evening with music,while suppoerting a great charity.

DEATH.
The death occurred on the 9th of May last of Sister Columba Farrell R.S.M ,Trim Co.Meath and formerly of Clonmee.Born Kathleen Ellen Farrell on the 7th of September,1920,Sr Columba entered the Convent of Mercy,Trim,on the 29th of September,1939.Having trained as a national teacher,she taught in the convent school.In 1956,she and three other sistersanswered the invitation to establish a parochial school in Berlin,New Jersey.After eight years,Sr.Columba was recalled to take over as Principal of Mercy Primary School,Trim,a position she held until her retirement in 1986.Her remaining years were devoted to pastoral work and parish projects.To her family and friends, we extend our deepest sympathy.

BIRTH,
We extend congratulations to both John and Elaine Bawle,Portanure,on the birth of their baby boy recently.

SOUTHERN GAELS.
An important meeting of Southern Gaels will be be held in Cashel G.A.A. Clubhouse this Wednesday the 15th of May at 9.00 p.m.It is important that all members attend this meeting.

FIRST COMMUNNION,
This Sunday,May the 19th is First Communion Day.Ten Children will recieve the Blessed Eucharist for the first time.The Mass at 12.00 noon will replace the scheduled Sunday Mass.

ROSARY
Recitation of the Rosary continues on Fridays at 7.30 p.m. until the end of the month.

CASHEL G.A.A. DRAW.
Cashel G.A.A. Club are holding a Fundraising Draw on Sunday the 2nd of June.
First Prize...€1000.00,
Second Prize...€500.00.
Third Prize....2 All Ireland 2013 Football Final Tickets.
Fourth Prize....V.I.P. Day at Leinster Football Final for 2.
Fifth Prize...2 All Ireland 2013 Hurling Final Tickets,
Sixth Prize....Selection of Vouchers.
Seventh Prize....Dinner for 2 at Viemount House.
Eight Prize....Annual Club Lotto Membership for one year.

The draw will take place in Leavys Pub Foigha.

"Bloom in the Park" is Ireland's premier gardening and artisan food festival.takes place in the Phoenix Park on the June bank holiday weekend.  Bus travelling to the festival on FRIDAY 31st MAY. Bus fare 10 euro.  Contact Helen on 085-7101053.
