HOLY WEEK CEREMONIES
Holy Thursday;Mass of the Lord's Supper at 8.00 p.m. followed by procession to the Altar of Repose.Adoration in the South Transept (women's cross-house) until midnight-all who are free are invited to spend time in adoration.Roster is as follows;
9.30 to 10.00 p.m. Pioneers,Choir,Intellectual Disability Association,Sub-Aqua Club.
10.00. to 10.30 p.m. Drama society,Church Collectors.
10.30 to 11.00.p.m. Readers,I.F.A. and I.C.A.
11.00 TO 11.30 p.m. Gun Club and G.A.A.
11.30 TO 12.00 p.m.Pastoral Council and Eucharistic Ministers.
Please ensure that members opf your organisation are present at the time specified. Persons who are members of the wednesday Roster are also invited to spend some time in adoration on Holy Thursday night.
Good Friday;Celebration of the Lord's Passion at 3.00 p.m.
Stations of the Cross at 8.00 p.m.
Holy Saturday; 9.00 p.m. Lighting of the Paschal Fire followed by the Easter Vigil.Non-drip candles  will be available.
Easter Sunday;Celebration of The Resurrection at 10.30 a.m.

JUNIOR CHOIR
A Junior Choir practice will be held in the Church on Good Friday following the 3.00 p.m. ceremonies. All members are asked to be present.

SENIOR CHOIR
A Senior Choir practice will be held in the Church this wednesday the 16th of April,at 8.00 p.m..All members are asked to attend.

WEDDING
Congratulations to both Janet Melia and Enda Kenny who were married on Friday the 11th of April last.

PARENTS ASSOCIATION
St.Mary's National School Parent's Association's Annual Table Quiz and Raffle,which was a tremendous success, was held last Saturday night the 12th of april in the Peer Inn ,Lisnacusha
Results for the Raffle is as follows;
1st prize, Noel Ferguson.
2nd  prize, Caoimhe Nolan.
3rd prize, Seoighe,Blaithin and Seosamh Mulvihill.
Thanks to everybody who supported or helped out in any way.

COMMUNITY GAMES
Hard luck to the U10 mixed gaelic football team. They came up against a very strong Killoe side in the first round of competition.
A big thank you to David Hanley and Ger Denningan who trained this team and got them ready for action.
We would also like to thank Kenagh for providing two challenge games recently which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.
The Future looks bright as there were some fantastic Man of the Match displays.
Training for Tag rugby and Basketball continues each week with competition games coming up soon.
Art and model making will take place in the Hill on the 23rd of April at 6pm. All competitors to bring their own materials.
Paper will be supplied.
Art titles for U12’s U14’s and U16’s are Badminton, basketball, draughts, gaelic football, group singing, handball, hurdles, javelin, judo, and swimming.
4 of these will be drawn from a hat and competitors will have to draw one of them.
U8’s and U10’s can draw any community games theme of their choice.
Swimming competition will take place in the Mall on Bank holiday Monday in May.

TIDY TOWNS WALK
The Newtowncashel Tidy Towns Annual Sponsored Walk, takes place on Bank Holiday Monday,the 5th of May.Sponsorship cards are available from committee members.

“The Hill”, 2013.  Income: €4,536.72.  Expenditure: €2,851.64.  Surplus: €1,685.08.  While revised charges have stabilized hall finances very low maintenance costs and substantial subvention from the Church were significant factors in the end of year surplus
