TIDY TOWNS
A Tidy Towns meeting will be held in "The Hill", this Wednesday, the 17th of April, at 8.00 pm, to review plans for the Annual Sponsored Nature Walk on Bank Holiday Monday,6th of May.  A full attendance is expected at this important meeting.

CASHEL PTAA
A Pioneer meeting will be held in the Sacristy after Mass on Saturday the 20th of April. All members are requested to attend.

TABLE QUIZ
St. Mary's National School Parent's Association will hold a Table Quiz in the Peer Inn, Lisnacusha, this Saturday night the 20th of April, commencing at 9.00p.m.Entrance fee is €40.00 per table. Your support would be greatly appreciated as this is their only fundraiser of the year.

LOTTO WIN.
Congratulations to the Hand family, Newpark, on their Lotto win last weekend.  The winning ticket was purchased in O’Brien's corner shop, Lanesboro.  It's great to see such a lovely family winning the jackpot and we wish them all the best in their future.

TABLE QUIZ
Longford Harvest Festival holds a Table Quiz in the Peer Inn, Lisnacusha, on Friday night the 26th of April at 9.00 p.m.  Proceeds go towards St. Christopher's, Longford.  Your support would be greatly appreciated.

DEATH
The death occurred on the 7th of April last, of Kathleen McGann, No.4 Derryhaun.
To her husband Charlie, sons John and Derek and all her many relatives and friends, we extend our deepest sympathy.  May her soul rest in peace.

We extend our sympathy to Elaine Donnelly and her family, on the death of her father, Jack Moran who recently. May his soul rest in peace.

DEATH
The death occurred on the 10th of April last of Bridget Farrell, Clonmee.  To her sister, Sister Columbe, Trim, and all her relatives and friends, we extend or deepest sympathy.

ICA NEWTOWNCASHEL
Newtowncashel ICA Guild are hosting a Gardening Demonstration & information night by Brendan Farrell of Ardagh Garden Centre on Tuesday 30th April at 9.00p.m. in “The Hill”. Raffle for valuable prizes.  Free admission.  Donations if desired to the Irish Cancer Society.  So to have all your gardening questions answered please come along and bring a friend.  Everyone welcome.

PIONEER OUTING
Carrickedmond PTAA are arranging a tour on a Sunday in July to visit the Titanic exhibition in Belfast.  Those who are interested are asked to contact any of the following telephone numbers – (087) 646 6075, (087) 697 4775, (044) 935 7442, (044) 935 7582, not later than April 5th.  The tour is open to non-members of the PTAA.  Cashel Pioneers will join forces with Carrickedmond for this outing.

LONGFORD HARVEST FESTIVAL
Longford Harvest Festival will be held in Newtowncashel on Sunday September 1st.  The event features working displays of vintage machinery, horse and tractor, with associated demonstrations and activities.  This promises to be a very interesting and entertaining afternoon for family and enthusiasts.  Proceeds on the day to St Christopher’s.  

GAA RACE DAY
Longford GAA are hosting their 11th annual Race Day at Punchestown on “Gold Cup Day” Wednesday 24th April. Cashel GAA Club will host a table there and are looking for people to join them for the day. The ticket price of €100 covers the following, admission to the races, race card, four course meal, celebrity tipsters, bar facilities, bookies and hot afternoon refreshments all of which represents great value. This is a great social occasion and meeting place with Longford people and friends from all over the Country. Car-pooling can be arranged. FLOWERS
There are thirty-five flower beds in the village, big and small, all cared for by the Tidy Towns.  We would like to hear from anyone who has the interest to adopt a flower bed for the coming season.  The Tidy Towns will supply all the flowers.  Please ring Ann Flanagan on (043) 332 5049 if you are interested.

CASHEL GAA
The Club invites people to take out membership and to support the Club Lotto.  Club members will visit the houses of the parish in coming weeks to provide details enabling people to do this.

GOLDEN JUBILEE
Congratulations to Fr. Seán Ó Dowd S.P.S. who, last Sunday, celebrated the Golden Jubilee of his Ordination to the Priesthood; 1963 - 14th of April - 2013.  Fr. Seán spent 27 years in the Diocese of Calabar, Nigeria, mainly in education. In 1990 he was appointed to promotion work for St. Patrick's Society in England and Scotland. Since his 'retirement', he has ministered in this Diocese and the Diocese of Elphin. He is currently busier than ever in the parish of Sts. Peter and Paul, Athlone. Ad multos annos!

LOURDES PILGRIMAGE

ROSARY.
The Rosary is recited in the Church every Friday at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome.
