There will be a Table Quiz in aid of the Local Community Games in the Peer Inn,Lisnacusha on this Saturday night the 25th of January at 9.00 p.m.Table of four is €40.00.Please do come along and participate in what should be a fun filled evening for all.

Lanesboro Community College holds it's open day,from 10.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and enrolment night,7.00 p.m.m this Wednesday the 22nd of January.
CATHEDRAL COLUMN
The nave of St.Mel's Cathedral was flanked by 28 limestone columns quarried at Ballyreevagh,Newtowncashel.Thanks to Fr.Tom Healy Adm.,the project team and the contractor ,a new column drum together with an original base and Ionic capital have been delivered to the parish.The originals were severely damaged by fire on Christmas Day 2009.The column is to be erected in the Church Grounds where it will serve as a reminder of the historic link with the Cathedral.It will also recall the patient skill,craftmanship and expertise of the Stone Masons who carved the columns by hand in the early 1840's.
SOUTHERN GAELS
The Southern Gael's A.G.M. will be held in Cashel G.A.A. Clubhouse on Thursday the 23rd of January at 8.30 p.m. All members please attend.
