A big thank you to all the children of the parish that took part over the past two days in the county finals in Ballymahon. Congratulations to Caoimhe Flood and Ciara Healy on getting Gold in the Javelin and Long Kick, David Sweeney on getting Silver in the Javelin, Alanna flood silver in 600 metres and Luke O Boyle on getting Bronze in the 600 metres. Best of luck to Caoimhe in the National finals
NATIONAL SCHOOL
Congratulations to St.Mary's National School on being awarded their fifth Green Flag,for their achievements in the 'Biodiversity' project.The flag raising Ceremony took place at the school on Tuesday the 24th of June last.
Well done to the Quiz team,who won the County School's Quiz competition for the second year running.
Induction for new pupils will take place,this Friday the 27th of June,from 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.The school welcomes 14 Junior Infants and 1 pupil to 2nd class.
The school bids farewell to 12 sixth class pupils and wishes them every success at second level.
The school closes for Summer Holidays on Friday the 27th of June,at 12.30 p.m.We wish the staff and pupils a pleasant break with sunshine and relaxation.

Pattern Day will be celebrated at Lady well,Derrydarragh,on Saturday the 6th of September.Mass follows recitation of the Rosary at p.m. This Mass will replace the Saturday evening Mass in the Church.
