HARVEST FESTIVAL
The Harvest Festival takes place this Sunday,the 1st of September,commencing at 12.00 noon.The Ecumenical Blessing is scheduled for 1.30 p.m. Central to the Festival is the harvesting of corn by vintage machinery,both horse drawn and tractor driven.The event promises a pleasant andinteresting Family Day with a variety of sideshows and a guest appearance by Declan Nerney,himself a vintage enthusiast.Proceeds go to St.Christophers Services.

On the playing field the Cashel team were defeated by St. Mary’s in the first game of the Michael Moran Tournament on Saturday last played in Pairc Ciaran. On Sunday next the Intermediate Team have a very important game, they take on Sean Connolly’s in a relegation play-

The Tidy Towns Awards Ceremony 2013 will be held in the Helix Theatre,Dublin, on Monday the 9th of September,at 12.00 noon.Newtowncashel has been invited to send four representatives to the awards.Best wishes to all concerned.
LADY WELL PATTERN DAY
Pattern Day will be celebrated at Lady Well,Derrydarragh,on Saturday the 7th of September.Mass follows the recitation of the Rosary at 6.00 p.m.This Mass will replace the Saturday evening Mass in the Church.
STATION MASSES
The Autumn Station Masses will be celebrated from the 1st to the 31st of October.Householders who are to host the Stations may arrange dates when convenient if the have not already done so.

The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock takes place this Sunday the 1st of September.The bus leaves 'The Hill' at 10.00 a.m.Tickets @ €16.00 each,are available from Kenny's Foodstore,Newtowncashel.
Confessions from 12.30 p.m.Anointing of the Sick at 2.30 p.m. Mass and Eucharistic Blessing of the Sick with Benediction at 3.00 p.m. followed by the Rosary Procession.
DEATH
The death occured of Paddy Hopkins,Pollagh,last Thursday the 21st of August.
