Meeting re Proposed Afterschool service in Cashel:
An important community meeting regarding the provision of an afterschool facility will take place next Tuesday 23rd at 8 30 in the hall. The meeting will provide an update on the afterschool service and discuss next steps in the process.
We encourage a large number to attend.
Bereaved:
We extend our sincere sympathy with the Chapman family, Kenagh on the passing of Celine Chapman which occurred recently, Celine was originally Costello from Cleraun, a brother of Jimmy who is also deceased, she was a proud Cashel lady and was a pleasant and chatty person who enjoyed a little chat and update on happenings in Cashel whenever I met up with her in years past.
Forthill Cross (Buggan):
I was informed recently by Martin Skelly MCC of urgent work to be undertaken by Longford CoCo at Forthill Cross, Buggan to many locals. As you may know there were two serious crashes there last year and I see the work has commenced, the junction will become “staggered” from now on to ensure people don’t just cut straight across from the Askey or Forthill roads.
Hopefully this might slow down the speedsters and cut down on the number of accidents.
