Halloween at The Local:

Sat evening came alive in the village with the children’s Halloween party in The Local, all were in their costumes and brought a splash of colour to the event.

Thanks to Fiona in The Local for organising and to the parents who went all out with costume purchases, all added to the event, and we did a little decoration outside, three scary creatures to bring a bit of atmosphere for the occasion.

Back to School:

Monday seen all our young folk back at their desks after what we hope was a lovely Halloween break, its nose to the grindstone now until the Christmas holidays.

Coffee Day in Aid of Cancer:

The fundraiser in aid of Cancer research held recently in the Hill, raised a whopping €1510.00.

A word of thanks to all and also to those who always show up to run the event.

Well done to all concerned.

Annual Mass:

The annual mass for deceased staff members of ESB Lanesboro will be held in thee Parish Hall, Lanesboro on Wed Nov 18th at 8pm. All are welcome. We have deceased parishioners who worked there so may be on interest to families locally.

Wise Words: Food for Thought:

Never regret anything that has happened in your life.

It cannot be changed, undone, or forgotten, so take it as a lesson learned and move on.

Scór Na Nóg:

We wish the best of luck to our young people taking part in Scór Na Nóg for our club in Ballinamuck on Sunday.

Any support would be welcomed.
We are taking part in four categories - Instrumental, Ballad Group, recitation and solo singing.

Hopefully families and others will come out in force to support our young talented parishioners and indeed their coaches.

Liam Finnegan.
